Our Story
Authentic Pigment® was founded in 2015 by a group of friends who shared a passion for art, design, and self-expression. As artists and designers ourselves, we grew tired of mass-produced, generic clothing options. We wanted to create pieces that spoke to our creative spirits.
So we began designing and producing our own line of graphic tees, sweatshirts, hats and more. Our goal was to make apparel and accessories that were as unique and authentic as the people who wear them.
We started off small, selling our products online and at local craft fairs. But the response was so positive that we decided to turn our little side project into a full-fledged business.
Today, the Authentic Pigment® brand includes hundreds of original designs across apparel and accessories. But our founding vision remains the same: to provide fresh, artistic clothing you can’t find anywhere else. We want to help you show off your inner artist.
Our Design Process
Every Authentic Pigment® design starts with an original concept or inspiration. Our creative team brainstorms ideas ranging from pop culture parodies to abstract graphic designs. No idea is too outlandish!
Once we settle on a theme, our artists get to work bringing the design to life. We use a mix of hand-drawn and computer-aided techniques to craft each unique graphic. The final designs are bold, eye-catching, and a little bit weird.
We carefully select fabrics and materials that are soft, comfortable, and durable enough for daily wear. And we meticulously perfect every detail – from the placement of the design elements to the stitching.
The result is a collection of apparel and accessories that are truly one-of-a-kind creations. Everything we make is designed in-house to reflect our distinctive aesthetic. When you wear Authentic Pigment®, you’re showing off a work of art.

Maggie started Authentic Pigment back in college as a small DIY operation. Her entrepreneurial spirit and bold artistic vision built the brand into what it is today. As CEO, she still oversees our creative direction and makes sure every new design fits our aesthetic.
Ryan – Head of Design
With a background in fine arts and fashion, Ryan heads up our talented design team. He takes Maggie’s vision and transforms it into stylish, striking apparel graphics. His innovative designs are a trademark of our brand.
Julia – Marketing Director
Our creative marketing campaigns and popular social media presence comes courtesy of Julia. She finds unique ways to connect with our audience and share how Authentic Pigment® can become a form of self-expression.
Andre – Head of Production
With decades of experience in the apparel manufacturing industry, Andre keeps our production process running smoothly. He ensures quality control and on-time deliveries so we can get our latest designs into your hands.
Eva – Customer Service Lead
The voice behind our friendly and knowledgeable customer service, Eva heads our CS team. She makes sure every order and request is handled quickly and accurately so you have the best experience shopping with us.
